
BMW E36 / E46 Drilled Oil Pump Nut

We have experienced many oil pump failures on the BMW E36 and E46. The oil pump nut loosens over time, even quicker when the engine revs higher than usual. In other words, if you take your car to the racetrack, it's at a higher risk of oil pump failure.
We fix this issue by drilling through the oil pump nut, in order to make room for a safety wire. You have to wrap the safety wire around the oil pump sprocket.
The reason why we do not weld the oil pump nut to the sprocket, is that it is irreverseible. With the drilled oil pump nut method, you can still remove the nut in order to work on your oil pump.
The necessary safety wire is included in this kit.
It fits on M50/M52/M54 and S50/S52 engines.
